God There is one1 God2 who exists in three equal and eternal persons3: Father, Son4 and Holy Spirit5.
The Bible As originally given, the Bible is God-breathed and therefore is our final authority for belief and practice6.
The Lord Jesus Christ The Lord Jesus Christ7, the Son of God8, is fully God9 and fully sinless man10, being conceived by the Holy Spirit11 and born of the virgin Mary12. His death on the cross provided the once for all sacrifice for our sin13 so that we might be free from its guilt and penalty14. On the third day God raised him bodily from the dead15, after forty days he ascended into heaven16 where he mediates between God and man17. He will return for all who have believed in him18 and to establish his kingdom on earth19.
The Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit has been sent to glorify Christ20. He gives new life and lives in every believer21. He reveals God's plans for us22, helps us to understand scripture23, gifts the various members of the Body of Christ so that together we can build one another up24 and he brings about an increasing likeness to Christ25.
The Human Race The human race was created by God in his image26 and every individual is valuable to him and to others27. As a result of Adam's disobedience we have inherited a sinful nature and are therefore alienated from God and hostile to him28. All are justly subject to the righteous condemnation of God and need to be reconciled to him by the death and resurrection of Christ29.
Reconciliation When a person trusts Christ for salvation from God's condemnation and acknowledges him as Saviour and Lord, God credits him or her with righteousness30 and they become a child of God held in his hand forever31.
The Church Everyone who becomes a Christian is baptised by the Holy Spirit into the Body of Christ - all God's people, in all nations, from all time with Christ as the head - visibly represented by the local church32. Every believer has direct access to God33 and has been gifted by the Holy Spirit for service34.
1 One God: Deut 6 v 4 (the word echad used for "one" never refers to a stark single entity in the Hebrew Bible, it is a compound unity eg. one people, one bunch of grapes, etc.); 1 Cor 8 v 4; 1 Tim 2 v 5; James 2 v 19
