The Bridges Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational church by which we mean that we have no formal links with any denomination. Indeed, we have no formal links with any church.

However, we do not use the term independent since, like all Christians, we are dependent on others, individuals and churches.

Aside from stating the obvious about other faiths, Northern Ireland has created a mentality that those who describe themselves as Christians must be either Catholic or Protestant. This is not true, even historically.

Most of us are brought up culturally one or the other. In religious terms it is simply assumed that those who are not Catholic are Protestant.

In The Bridges there are those from both cultural backgrounds. Our beliefs are Bible-based and not based on any religious tradition.
